OMP Harnesses
( number of products: 36 )Our OMP harness range runs from 3-point and 4-point belts with ECE homologation to FIA-homologated 4-point and 6-point harnesses, including pull-up and pull-down versions. You will also find the parts that go with them: shoulder pads, seatbelt cutters, eyebolts and weld-in mounting plates.
Choosing an OMP harness
Start with the homologation. The FIA harnesses, in 4-point and 6-point layouts, are for competition cars where the event regulations call for an FIA-approved belt. The 3-point and 4-point harnesses carry ECE homologation, the approval used for seat belts in road vehicles.
Some 6-point harnesses are FHR versions, designed for use with a frontal head restraint such as HANS.
The accessories include shoulder pads, among them 2-inch versions, and seatbelt cutters for freeing a driver in an emergency. For mounting points there are eyebolts and a weld-in eye bolt plate. More padding options are in our harness pads section. To compare other makers, see Sabelt harnesses and Sparco harnesses, or browse all harnesses.

What is the difference between pull-up and pull-down OMP harnesses?
The terms describe the direction in which you pull the loose strap ends to tighten the lap belt. With pull-up adjusters you pull them upwards, and with pull-down adjusters you pull them down towards the floor. Which one is easier depends on the seat, the space in the cockpit and the driver's preference.
What do 3-point, 4-point and 6-point mean on OMP belts?
The number refers to the anchorage points. A 3-point belt works like a standard car seat belt, with a lap section and a diagonal shoulder strap. A 4-point harness has two shoulder straps and a separate lap belt. A 6-point harness adds two crotch straps, which stop the lap belt from riding up.
