How to choose a Sparco harness
Start with the number of points. Several 3-point and 4-point harnesses carry the ECE marking, and the 6-point harnesses are FIA homologated. If the car will go through scrutineering at a sanctioned event, start with the 6-point belts.
Shoulder pads come in 2-inch and 3-inch widths, as compact mini pads and in Martini Racing versions. For installation there are eyebolts and harness plates, the hardware used to anchor the belts to the car. Safety hammers, including a version with a seatbelt cutter and light, help occupants get out of the car after an accident.
To compare Sparco with other makers, browse OMP harnesses and Sabelt harnesses. More padding options are grouped under harness pads, and all harnesses from every brand are listed together in one section.

What is the difference between a 4-point and a 6-point Sparco harness?
A 4-point harness uses two shoulder straps and two lap straps. A 6-point harness adds two crotch straps, which stop the body sliding under the lap belt in a frontal impact.
Can Sparco seat belts be used on the road?
The ECE marking refers to the UN ECE regulation on vehicle seat belts, which is the approval that matters for road vehicles. FIA homologation covers use in motorsport. Whether a harness is legal in a particular road car also depends on national rules and on how it is fitted.
