Sparco Race Boots

( number of products: 176 )

Our Sparco racing shoes bring together the Italian brand's footwear for the cockpit and the garage: FIA-homologated race boots for drivers, mechanics' shoes for crew members and shoes in Martini Racing, Gulf and Red Bull Racing designs. You'll also find waterproof shoes and short rainproof overshoes, along with leather and suede versions.

How to choose Sparco shoes

Start with homologation. The pairs marked FIA are homologated race boots, the ones to pick for competition. Events run under FIA regulations require homologated footwear alongside a fireproof race suit, race gloves and fireproof underwear, and scrutineers check the homologation label. The FIA mark on its own doesn't tell you which standard your series accepts, so read the rulebook before you buy.

Mechanics' shoes form a separate group, made for crew members working on the car rather than for the driver. The range also includes safety footwear marked ESD S3. S3 is a safety class under EN ISO 20345 covering a protective toe cap, a penetration-resistant sole and a water-resistant upper, while ESD means the shoe dissipates static electricity, which matters when you work around electronics.

Martini Racing and Gulf designs appear on FIA-homologated race boots as well as on other Sparco shoes, so you can race in a classic livery. The selection also includes Ford Performance and Red Bull Racing F1 shoes. In wet conditions, the rainproof overshoes go on over the shoes you are already wearing.

To compare manufacturers, see the Alpinestars race boots in the same section, or the OMP race boots from another Italian brand. The full selection of race boots brings every brand together on one page, and if you're kitting out for kart racing, the karting boots category is the place to start.

FAQ

Can I wear Sparco race boots in a rally?

Yes. An FIA-homologated pair works for rallying as well as circuit racing. In rallies run under FIA rules the co-driver must also wear homologated footwear, so both crew members need a pair.
