Plumbed-In Extinguisher Systems

( number of products: 3 )

Our fire suppression systems are plumbed-in extinguisher kits for competition cars, made by Sparco and OMP Racing. Every system is FIA 8865-2015 homologated and comes as a complete kit with the bottle and the fittings needed to install it in the car. You can choose between electrically and mechanically activated systems.

Systems differ mainly in how they are triggered. An electric system is set off by a button in the cockpit or on the outside of the car, while a mechanical system works with pull cables and needs no power supply. Bottle capacities range from 2.5 to 4.25 litres.

For a portable backup in the cockpit, see our handheld extinguishers. Spares and fittings are listed under extinguisher parts. To cut the electrical circuit in an emergency, see our kill switches.

What extinguishing agent does a Sparco fire suppression system use?

It depends on the bottle size: Sparco's 4.25-litre systems use AFFF foam, while the smaller units are powder-filled. Most bottles are stainless steel.

What bottle does the OMP fire suppression system use?

It has an aluminium alloy bottle and is electrically activated.
