Matching the part to your helmet

A visor or peak is designed around one helmet shell, so choosing by brand alone is not enough. Check the exact model of your helmet and look for it in the product name. Where a part suits two related shells, both are listed in the name, separated by a slash.

Visor types

Clear visors are the usual choice for night sessions, rain and low light. Tinted, smoked and dark visors cut glare when the sun is low or the light is strong, while mirrored and iridium finishes add a reflective coating on the outside of the visor. Stilo also makes double glaze visors, built from two layers to limit fogging. Sparco offers visors for open face helmets, including long versions, and Stilo has short visors in its range.

Peaks

Helmet peaks come from all four brands, with carbon peaks from Bell, Sparco and Stilo. Stilo also offers mounting kits for its peaks, as well as kits that fit both a peak and a visor.

Tear-offs and fitting hardware

Tear-offs are available for Bell, OMP Racing, Sparco and Stilo helmets. These thin clear films are stacked on the visor, so the driver can pull the top layer away when it gets dirty instead of stopping to clean it. For fitting, there are Bell visor screw kits, Sparco and Stilo mounting kits, a visor lock kit and a visor removal tool. Sun strips and sun shades help against glare from above, and a visor cleaner keeps the visor clear between sessions.
