3rd Poland Rally Legend 2026: Grönholm, Group B and a hundred classic rally cars
3rd Poland Rally Legend 2026: Grönholm, Group B and a hundred classic rally cars in the Klodzko Valley
From 27 to 29 August the spa town of Polanica-Zdroj turns into a rally base again, and this one is all about the cars. Group B machinery, former WRC contenders, Audi Quattro, Lancia Stratos, Peugeot 205 T16 - the kind of iron most of us only saw on television in the eighties and nineties - will run on the gravel and asphalt roads of Lower Silesia. Top Racing is the official partner of the 3rd Poland Rally Legend. Admission is free, on every special stage.
We have built a full spectator guide for the event at polandrallylegend.topracingshop.com. It covers the hour-by-hour running order for all three days, maps of the five routes, the service park, and eighteen Handbrake Zones: each one with a drone photo, the stage route marked on it, plus notes on parking, the walk in and catering. The guide runs in eleven languages, so it is easy to pass on to friends travelling from abroad.
Who is driving
The entry list explains why this rally keeps growing. Marcus Grönholm, twice World Rally Champion, appears on Friday at the Klodzko prologue - a demonstration run and the only chance to see him behind the wheel over the weekend. Alongside him come Bruno Thiry, Patrick Snijers, Armin Schwarz and dozens of owners of historic rally cars from Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany.
There are two classes. The main one is for cars with historic homologation, while the GOŚĆ (guest) class drops the age limit - which is how newer machinery, a Citroën C3 WRC included, ends up in the field.
Where to watch
The organisers have laid out five routes and twelve special stages, with 18 Handbrake Zones along them: marked spectator areas with a described walk in, a drone photo and a clear view of the action. Most of them sit around Zieleniec and Radkow, with single zones near Polanica and Spalona.
Friday evening belongs to Klodzko and its street super special stage, run through the town centre with the fortress walls as a backdrop. On Saturday the cars come back for regroups on the market square in Duszniki-Zdroj, where an autograph zone is set up: tables where crews sit down with spectators, coffee and tea on site. It is the easiest way to meet the legends face to face.
The service park runs along ul. Klodzka in Polanica-Zdroj: over 120 cars lined up in one long avenue, open to spectators from Thursday morning. On Saturday evening, after the finish ceremony, Ray Wilson - the singer known from Genesis and Stiltskin - plays an open-air concert in the spa park, followed by the prize giving.
