Choosing an OMP helmet
Start with homologation. A helmet marked FIA meets an FIA helmet standard, which is the usual requirement in national and international car racing championships. The CMR marking refers to a separate FIA standard developed for helmets worn by young drivers, so it answers a different set of rules. Let the standards accepted by your championship decide the choice before fit or colour.

Can I use an OMP helmet for karting?
It depends on your class. Karting rules set their own list of accepted helmet standards, which can differ from those in car racing, and youth classes may call for a helmet built to the CMR standard for young drivers. Compare your class regulations with the marking in the product name before you buy.
