Recaro Velix 1 Kid Child Seat Gallant Grey

Recaro Velix 1 Kid Child Seat Gallant Grey

The Recaro Velix 1 Kid is a car seat designed for children from 15 months of age up to approximately 12 years old, covering a height range of 76 to 150 cm. It grows with your child - one purchase covers many years of travelling together. Recaro has equipped the Velix 1 Kid with protective systems and features that keep younger passengers comfortable on longer journeys.

The seat carries ECE R129 certification and is installed using the ISOFIX system, providing a secure and stable connection to the vehicle. The Gallant Grey version features a refined, dark grey colour that gives the seat an elegant and modern appearance.

Detailed appearance

The seat is finished in a deep, dark Gallant Grey tone with black accents on the lower section of the shell and base. The upholstery on the seat and backrest has a honeycomb texture that gives the seat a sporty character. The Recaro logo appears on the headrest, backrest and side panels - on both the left and right sides. The side head and shoulder supports are shaped to resemble the bolsters found in racing seats. The harness straps are light grey, and the central buckle is black with a red release indicator. The rear of the shell features an extensive honeycomb ventilation pattern, and the text "Adaptive Side Protection" is visible on both sides of the rear panel. The base is black, with a pull-out stabilising leg and clearly visible ISOFIX connectors.

Performance features

• Certification: ECE R129 - the current safety standard for car seats.
• Installation: ISOFIX with a stabilising leg - provides a firm connection between the seat and the vehicle structure.
• Side protection: Adaptive Side Protection system - the expanding side wings adjust automatically to the child's height.
• 5-point harness: The HERO system prevents the straps from slipping and twisting, keeping them correctly positioned on the child's body.
• 3-point belt: From a height of 100 to 150 cm, the child can use the vehicle's own seatbelt instead of the seat's harness.
• Ventilation: Additional openings in the rear of the shell improve air circulation around the child's back.

For parents looking for a seat that lasts

The Recaro Velix 1 Kid is an ideal choice for families where ECE R129-certified safety and long-term practicality both matter. With a height range of 76-150 cm, the seat accompanies your child from the early toddler stage through primary school age, removing the need to replace the seat every few years. The adjustable recline allows you to set the seating position to suit your child's needs on long trips - whether more upright or laid back. The lightweight construction makes it easy to move the seat between cars, which is particularly convenient for families who use more than one vehicle.

Why choose the Recaro Velix 1 Kid?

• Current ECE R129 certification: The seat meets the requirements of the applicable safety standard for car seats.
• Adaptive Side Protection: The side wings expand as your child grows, providing tailored protection at every stage.
• HERO system: The 5-point harness keeps the correct position without any risk of strap slippage - regardless of journey length.
• Years of use: The 76-150 cm range means one Recaro seat is enough from 15 months through to the end of the child seat requirement period.
• ISOFIX with stabilising leg: Fast and secure installation without needing the vehicle's seatbelt to fix the seat in place.
